This is so true😅, all first person shooters lately are just recycled content from the previous year with a different title, it's so boring. Sonic Mania was my favorite game of 2017, it was so vibrant and filled with detail, the gameplay was phenomenal and sometimes challenging which is great.

I just imagined an infomercial for a Sonic Mania, Super Mario Odyssey, Kirby Star Allies, and Zelda: BotW game package called “Nintendo Switch All-Stars Package”:

Salesman: Hey there, hardcore gamer! You wanna buy a new game system? Great, cuz the PS4 is the best game system just for 99.99! It has everything! Gore, more gore, action, rarely any E-rated content...
Customer: Hey, what’s that one over there?
Salesman: Oh. That’s just the Nintendo Switch. But it’s target for a specific audience of kids and teens!
Customer: Yeah, but is that really bad? (We then cut to gameplay footage of Sonic Mania) The games are colorful and creative while also being inspired by classics from years past! (Gameplay of Kirby: Star Allies) The games can range from exploration, platforming, puzzle, and even speed and skill! (Gameplay of BotW) The games feature Mario, Sonic, Link, and even Kirby. (Gameplay of Super Mario Odyssey) The characters are easily recognized by many fans anywhere and have won multiple awards!
