Best & Worst Troops in Art of War: Legions Tier List (E7)

RYL Kautiionz, RYL TacticzHazel, and I ranked the best and worst troops in Art of War: Legions on a tier list.

RYL Kautiionz Notes:

S: Peltasts- don’t need to explain
Golem- still one of the best troops in the game, great tank, attack skills to make it a full package
Frost archers- don’t have any myself but paid the price against ppl who did

A: MAs- attacks the back row, avoids Poseidon surge. Good for delayed attacks
Undeads- Great tanks. Double life, good attack
Goblikazis- burning effect very valuable in battle killing multitudes of the enemy
Demons- overall still a decent legendary with good health and damage
Sanctuary Swordman- is a great assault troop with his refraction buffer, look out for that

B: Catapults- burning effect still holds value but not good in my formations
Archers- can do good damage if properly protected (can shoot pelts)
Ice Mages- one of the best mages, it’s skill can slow down the opponents attack
Harbingers- great AoE damage troop. Can be very valuable in the right formations
Paladins- great tanks that add protection to its surrounding allies

C: Bandits- very versatile, both range/melee makes for a good 1-2 punch
GAs- attack the back row, be aware of kazis
Priest Mage- one of the best mages, I prefer Ice though
Brawlers- decent troops, good for HH
Totem- good skill but the melee is too weak for my liking

D: Cactuses- tanks but no better than paladins so far
Pilgrims- good for HH with the healing ability
Soul Hunter- just not as good in the current meta
Templar- another victim of the solo epic drought
Beastmaster- very underwhelming at the moment

E: Hell Jailers- multi troop fill ins, especially for HH
Inquisitors- better tanks than Iron Guards
Ballistas- have not found the relevancy for them yet
Yasha- one of the weaker epics

F: Infantry- basic attack
Iron Guards- basic defense
Bombers- nerfed out of any relevancy whatsoever
Necro- still pretty weak, may be fill ins for HH

How much better is av S-tier than an F-tier troop? It would be nice to hear some comparisons like "a level 8 orge warrior is similar to a level 5 meteor golem" or something like that. Keep up the good work!

I like using Bandits for the range attack at the beginning so i put them at the back lines

I am playing this game for more than 1.5 years and I was blocked at around 2000battle points in arena. Since I watched about 6-7 of your videos I ranked up to 2700+ battle points ( my troups value is 310.000). Thank you for your advices and keep up the good work.

I was shocked that Paladins weren't A tier due to their ability and high health.

Then again, I'm only in King tier, so I wouldn't know.

You should make a late game and early game tier list because in my opinion (I am a noob) necromancers are crazy early game. I have a lvl 5, lvl 4, and lvl 3 they pretty much secure a win in most of my levels. Great vid tho I subbed :)

The Ballista is WAY better than the Catapult, you definitely see more Balllista's in ARENA battle than Catapults!

GobLikaze. You missed the L. I think they're called that because they carry goblet like bombs and the kaze, is like the kaze in kamikaze units in ww2 basically suicide bombers. Excellent video, I always know where to get information of my troop strength and formations.

In my opinion, Necromancers can help change the tide of battle if used appropriately. I have had the most success placing a group of necromancers in row 3, smack em down right in the middle, this works well because you have to go thru all the other troops to get to them, which allows them much more time to bolster your troop numbers and send more fighters directly to the front line.

Agreed. Are you gonna make a full Soul Hunter Army video? It would be nice to see their overall capability in different settings.

I still feel like the Necromancers are good in specific situations with a lot of tanks to protect them.
