White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Wednesday that the U.S. is holding direct talks with Hamas in an effort to free more Israeli hostages, confirming an Axios report. In a Truth Social post, President Donald Trump issued a "last warning" to Hamas to release the remaining hostages. Meantime, Trump met with freed hostages in the Oval Office this week. Phase one of the Gaza ceasefire expired last week.
