I think all 3 finalists should be allowed to perform their new singles on the show before voting is tallied to select the winner. Colin’s new single is so amazing and he should have been allowed to perform it in the show.

I was hoping Colin would at least place second, but I feel he had played it too safe with his song choices for the finale. That said, this is definitely not the end of the road for him. Colin will go far!!

I rewatched the season finale and the first two rounds. I felt that all three did almost equally well with the Keith Urban songs, with Iam coming out ahead because of his storytelling. But I think where Iam really shone was with his hometown song, where he turned the competition into a concert/party. All three are good at performing, but Iam is the only one who can also connect with the audience while he’s performing.
