My plants always melt and die. My lights are a bit bright. My pH is usually around 7.6 and I do water changes when the nitrate or nitrite goes above 0 ppm.

i have a few tanks and they all have java moss i grew from 1 batch. my 30 gallon its been in the longest, it grew from a baseball size to a bit bigger than a soccer ball or basket ball. i removed some from the tank and wood it was growing around, but now it looks like its dying off. it was thick and beautiful and green before and now its thin and browning. i didnt remove much at all just some excess and the tanks been running for like 3 years now. im not too sure whats going on. i checked the water and the levels are good. not sure whats going on im gonna wait it out a few weeks and see whats up.

Liked and subscribed! Seem like a dude I wanna talk shop with! Good presentation, info, and editing. Looking forward to more.

As a side question; near the end, you give a list of beginner plants. From what I've read and watched, what seems to be THE list... Except one: the ever-argued Gold Pothos. My question: Will Pothos, hanging in a filter, "choke-out" Java Moss and other newbie plants in a slightly understocked tank?

My apologies for being long-winded, and my earnest interest in your channel! Thanks again.

I have a 20g tank myself with some Java Moss, crispus, and some other smaller plants. I was just noticing an accumulation of fish waste and wanted to know if that’s normal? I feel like if I had some shrimp in with my fish they would go nuts and help with that. Any thoughts?
