The worst 1st episode ever. This showed me that no big platform will ever have an authentic reality show. I think it’s against the rules of showbiz😭 In terms of authenticity…this show was LIGHTYEARS away. Literally the vibe was nothing like Arlettes YouTube show.

People keep commenting that it’s terrible because it’s not all black anymore . I don’t think it’s about race, it’s about Netflix choosing to go with a terrible spin on the original show and it’s not working out. I thought it was going to be like the original show with more diverse people but this seems like a skit like they’re trying too hard

I noticed Arlette and BM were the 4th & 5th credited executive producers. This is not their show! They just here for the bag. Very disappointed the show is terrible - within minutes I knew then to see Johnny and future reality stars. When the show got announced, I knew Netflix was going to mess it up and just ruin it for entertainment purposes. I recently started watching the YouTube series and will continue to enjoy that!

This just proves my point that it’s best that Arlettes show is Blacks only. Cause some of these reasons for popping sound crazier when they’re from different races.

The show is trash. Not only did they turn it into a complete joke (that wasn’t even funny), they messed up the whole structure. They had the women asking the man a questions instead of the other way around. They also had people in there just trying to be a character (bmore girl). The YouTube show works bc its regular everyday people. Inviting reality show tv actors and other people that just want attention will not work. That’s why it was so clownish.

Ughhh it was too loud… I like the YouTube original better.. this was like a bunch of drunk people at an office party… everyone talking over everyone… it was all over the place… if they kept it the same it would’ve been watchable… but this was just straight stupidity… in my opinion… not a great start.. I actually like the calm host on YouTube… this was just a loud ass dinner party without the table and food… it was annoying

I think it’s also important to know that the precise of the original show centered Black love/romance/men & women. So to give us this gentrified version filled with reality stars and no dark skin people (except the host to make us “happy”) … felt like a let down. It felt like it took the realness and authentic vibe away, which are all reasons we watch the show. The props, the reality stars and the show decentering the people that it was originally catered to serve and also replacing the heart of the show (even though I adore Yvonne) really missed the mark.

Also Johnny bananas and his constant racially charged remarks and microaggressions 🤮🤢🤮
