'Speyside'.... thanks for that. Vagueness doesn't generally inspire confidence. Nothing on the bottle either except 'Bardinet F33290'. Fife, I hoped! Alas, bottled in Blanquefort Gironde (French department 33)! I look forward to trying the stuff once I get it back to Addis Ababa. But given how long it might have been on the shelf of the Libreville supermarket, might the 'briny West coast Atlantic air' of the Estuaire de Gabon (or even that of the French Gironde coast) have permeated its present cask, albeit a glass one?
