Plein Air Painting the Duomo while Traveling in Florence, Italy

One of my highlights from backpacking Europe last summer as a Donald Jurney Traveling Fellow was finally visiting Florence. I painted this view of the Cathedral Dome over three mornings, before the heat became unbearable and I would seek refuge in the air condition halls of nearby museums.
