The Little Mermaid disaster manages to get WORSE! Disney “super fans” DUMPING parks!

Looks like people are getting up with Disney World and Disney Land! Also, The Little Mermaid remake trailer is close to 3 million dislikes!

I’m just tired of people accusing other of “racism” if they just simply say “we want original stories not another remake” which they’ve said for previous remakes as well. But for some reason no on was called “racist” for trashing the previous remakes. Disney knew what they were doing, they aren’t being “inclusive” they’re using monitories as weapons to use for their own lack of ideas.

The magic IS gone from Disney. They're no longer the place where kids can feel like they've stepped in to a Disney movie, and adults can re-live their childhood and feel like a kid again for a while.

That's all gone, and it's been replaced by politics. They're no longer interested in telling fun stories that all ages can love, they're more interested in promoting an agenda while openly disdaining everything that made them successful.

I have no desire to support a company that openly hates me.

All they had to do was name the movie and character Gabriella The Little Mermaid, and have white red-haired Ariel make a cameo. And everyone would have been happy. What the media call racists are actually purists who believe the characters in the remakes should look the same as the original cartoon. Halle Bailey would make for a very accurate Gabriella. Keep the story they’re writing as it is, as it doesn’t follow Ariel’s story anyway.

Disney has always been expensive, I went with family about 15 years ago, and the cost of things was just unreasonable, I can't even imagine what the cost now is today. Disney isn't worth the time or money anymore, especially with how they have handled everything they've touched.

My kids, first time to the park a year after COVID....we took our masks off in front of the castle to take a new family photo with NO one around. 3 workers from different parts of that area came RUNNING saying "MASKS ON!!!" as if we were slaughtering people in the park. THE MAGIC IS GONE!

I skipped my last family vacation to disney. I thold my wife 100 times that i wo t support someone that hates me. She had to take my grandchild for her first time. I was guilted but held my ground. Not one more dime.

This is completely blowing up in Disney’s face right now, because when you take something people love, a story you did years ago and remake it now for a “modern audience” instead targeting both audiences, you end up failing because people are tired of Hollywood just squandering with property after property! Parks are run down & dirty.
Prices are too high.
But the worst of all are the current cast members at the parks.
Not all, but MANY, are gross and rude. They look like they don’t bathe or groom themselves. Hair not washed or combed, half a shirt tail hanging out, cruddy glass lenses, fuzzy teeth.
They hang out on their phones, leaning on rails, chewing their nails, twirling their hair, talking with each other while ignoring guests & acting annoyed when asked a question.

When Disney lowered their standards, they REALLY lowered their standards.

I'm still mad about Mulan's ending. She was supposed to be with the prince in the end and they made her woke. Strong independent, woman. I was okay without the singing but I wanted her with the prince in the end. I quit watching those live action movies after that.

Let me just give another example that has nothing to do with race, but focus on childhood memories

When Sonic's first design was shown in the first trailer, you know how people reacted at that time, right? So much complaint, until the design was completely redesigned so it resembled the original design in the cartoon, and the games that we know from the beginning and in the end the film was also successful. That's the smart move from production team even though it had to make big sacrifices for a total redesign, rather than the risk of fail movie that you can see from negative response.

Again, I'm not racist, I'm so happy with my childhood memories and that is sentimental value, don't play with it.

Disney has made tons of money off of their "Disney Princesses." They've established what Ariel looks like back in '89 and have marketed her that way ever since. That's Disney's The Little Mermaid. That's Ariel. Red hair, white skin, blue eyes. That's their copyright/tradmark, ect. For the past 30 years, this is the Ariel that eveyone has known. She's a doll. She's on backpacks, t-shirts, bedding, and anything else Disney chose to market with. Now that they are doing the "live action" remake, they change Ariel and those that don't like it are the problem?
