*Read description first*
Just go to the altar and receive your Spirit Orb already.
...is what you're most likely thinking.
Key Notes:
Boss: Monk Maz Koshia
- His HP is immense, even if you use the Master Sword fully charged up. He surely has equal the health to Calamity Ganon.
- For the first quarter of the battle, he behaves like a Yiga Clan Footsoldier. So if you're used to fight them, you'll have a decent time trying to keep up with him.
- For the second quarter, he'll make copies of himself, all of which can hurt you even if you hit the copies while trying to find the real one. You can use Urbosa's Fury to easily track down the real one, but do note the copies will come back up after some time.
- For the third quarter and the second half, despite growing huge, he now behaves like Master Kohga by tossing spiked balls at you, so you must strike him back using them with Magnesis. Dodge the incoming hazards first to have freedom to smack him. For his first move, he flings them all one by one and then tries to blast you with thunders unless you place one of them real close to him (in midair). For the second move, he will tilt the stage and have the balls roll around to smack you, but you can quickly take one and ram it into him until he gets knocked out for punishment.
- When you do knock him down, he will stomp the ground with a strong blast if you're still attacking him. You need to get away from the blast instead of trying to dodge it. Also, he will bring two copies of his real smaller self to keep you busy, but they can be struck down with one hit.
- Completing this trial lets you use the Master Cycle Zero on the road anywhere you like, and you can also go back to the Divine Beast to claim any chests you didn't claim or even rechallenge the monk to the boss fight (therefore not making it a one-time chance you can take his photo).
- Unrelated, but since he kind of behaves like a Yiga Clan member...maybe he's crazy for...? (If you figure this out, you can only pull it off once in the fight.)
Watch, enjoy, and comment, everyone.
