At last! Our shop has been waiting years for Specialized to offer an affordable, aluminum sibling to the Roubaix. Lots of young and older riders don't have $2500 plus for a base Roubaix, so this hits that spot just right. It's a proven and successful strategy, since our Trek Domane AL endurance bikes already sell well (and are really nice rides). And having room for 35mm tires gives plenty of versatility. Well done!!!

I think it was a mistake to go away from Tarmac geo but what do I know?

From customers perspective it is a mistake to remove rim brake options, especially at cheaper offerings. Cheap disc brakes suck, they just make already heavy bike even heavier.
Also, I will be completely honest and say that "endurance geometries" and "relaxed geometries" are bollocks. You can always go higher with spacers and correct stem but you might not be able to get low enough if headtube is too tall. Just beware that reach is not to big for you and stop worrying abut geometry being "too aggressive".

It's very heavy. Beautiful and with more aero tubes, but heavy. I saw it today in my local bike shop.

1:06 showing Tiagra brakes which don't come with the bike - nice and misleading to go along with the extremely overpriced entry bike

Roubais geometry? Why not just buy a Roubais?

And for those moaning about disc v. rim brakes, get over it! Without disc brakes, you can't build a road bike that fits more than 28mm tires AND stops on command. I know first hand, as I still have a rim-brake 2010 Tricross Comp, and even with upgrades, it can't stop for sh&t. If it wasn't for disc brakes, gravel bikes wouldn't be worth buying.

50% pricier for the tiagra groupset to add hydraulic disc brakes. Congratulations 🎉
