So true!! I just finished my LPN program a couple weeks ago and I did read my book but I did buy the fundamental, medsurg and peds cards and they mimic my book. Love them !

Then why do they add all the fluff knowing that we don’t have time? The publishers should be succinct like we have to be for our papers.

Never flipped a page in mine. The information from nursing school as a whole could have been completed in 3-5 months if it wasnt designed to take money from young people and keep them out of the public and work force for however many days a week a specific program forces their students to attend. I felt like i when from being a college student to a kindergartener when i entered my program, and its rated pretty high in the country... not to mention how they under prepaired us for everything. The only thing new grads know is phisiology, #no skills were learned.. if i had it to do over again, i would have easily chose another path, that probably pays better, seeing as we cant all decide to settle down and work our own town. It just drives the wage devision between staff and agency nurses thru the roof.

Yupyup! I know of like, 1 or 2 classmates, that prefer and perform well by simply reading everything. I perform well by doing practice questions and reading rationale. ouo)/

I didn't read my textbooks. I did read the vocab for key terms and did end of chapter questions. If there was a concept I didn't understand, then I went into the text for info, then YouTube! I graduate in 2 months with an A- average.
