You can make relatively good macro photos with minimal modification of a cheap 640x480 webcam.
The only thing to do is unscrew the objective lens anticlockwise until you get a sharp image at a slight distance.Next to be done is to fix the camera on a stable moving surface .I did it with the help of two old CD ROM drives as you can see on the video. Next, the object we are photographing should be good illuminated. And finally we can use one of the many free video capture and editing softwares.
