Oobah Butler of fake shed restaurant fame is back and this time he’s turned his attention to the world of fashion. Paris Fashion week is iconic amongst A-Listers and fashion inner circles. It's the place where you find all the next big trends, the crème de la crème of fashion weeks. Georgio Peviani was getting loads of attention at PFW.

Buyers from Milan wanted his denim in their stores, the inner-circle wanted him at their showrooms and A-Listers partied with him at night. But the man doesn't actually exist.. does he? This is the time Oobah Butler faked his way into Paris Fashion Week.

This man is the epitome of "confidence is key"

I think the main reason why he succeeded in getting into Paris fashion week is because he just looked so exotic and eccentric. No one would deny someone who looks like that as a fashion designer. They're all bonkers

I appreciate the guy at least trying to find the original creator and “giving him” the gift of growth in his brand. Instead of just impersonating him and playing it off as a joke he was able to get this guy as a worldwide brand.

Next, people buying Georgio Peviani jeans from the knockoff market thinking they're GP fakes, without realizing they're the real deal 👌

It wasn’t about the denim’s quality, it was about the way this dude carried himself. He knew exactly how to fit in & make THEM seek him out instead of the other way around.

Moral of the story: fake it till you make it.

I love how this man went from literally clowning this brand to doing an interview with them and then a lookbook.

I heard Georgio Peviani can get a table at The Shed at Dulwich without waiting.

*If streetwear is a religion, Peviani constantly sins.* That slogan could actually work

Is nobody gonna mention how good this guy actually looks in that dress...?

lol this started out as a mockumentary but morphed into a genuinely heart warming fashion collab

When you think about it, the plot was more than credible. Just the fact that he had an entire filming crew following him everywhere made him look 100% legit.

It helps that this dude looks more like a fashion designer than some actual fashion designers.

I'm crying. This is honestly touching. Just an immigrant having to hide his identity to enjoy some success in this world.

This is the funniest thing! Shows that sometimes prestige and branding is more important than how beautiful the product is. These people would not have given the brand a second thought of they just saw it in the market
