In January of 2018 May started doing this. I decided to put in 10 hours a week just as an outlet for my hobby. Now I average $1000 a month. I’ve made over $40k which pays for all my equipment and some vacations. This biggest issue is to stay away from negative people. “Why would you give your art away for $0.90?” They focus on individual sales and can’t get over the constant price schemes and changes. All that comes and goes but my overall profit goes up. I think one aspect of this is about staying positive and your videos balance that well.

Interesting! In my case, food and drinks don't sell so much, except for products (editorial) such as local gins or wine bottles, etc. Landscape and architecture photos from Quebec (and not from my numerous international travel destinations) sell a lot. And pet portraits, mostly purebred dogs and cats.

Are you allowed to take photos of random people in public if they are looking at the camera or does it have to be from behind? Also how do you feel about Shutterstock acquiring Pond5?
