I've got a Series 1 Redline in White, recently put Kings SL/SSL & Monroe GT's in it, what a world of difference.

Hi Fred and others.Very happy to find your channel as I'm doing exactly the same thing with a 2008 VE SS. I've been entering Hillclimb events here in Victoria, and having a ball.  I'm 12 months into my build though, and learning a lot as I go, but have shed loads still to learn which is half the fun I guess.  Just watched your episode on the big brake kit install on Clunie. Looks great.  I did the same thing, but did manage to fit 18' rims around a Big brake kit off a wrecked VF Clubsport HSV 4 Pot Calipers. (Actully AP racing calipers). Its tight, but they do fit. Good luck with your build. I'm a farmer too, so good luck with your season.Regards, James

Really nice mate, 950 HP, maybe you should have put the rear brembo silver calipers with the larger 360 rotors on the back, just saying i did that on mine, the only thing i found that the Brembo pads do not come with a rubber shim which you can buy via EBC company, basically a rubber sticky pad which you can cut to fit the pads outer surface, which is where the piston touches and its basically to stop the noise factor only, especially for a stock car and when stopping at lights just that last few meters they will make noise or squealing noises, but fixed that no problem. Also i believe Brembo make different pads, like the HP and then the DS etc, so different pads for different type of driving, i think the stock pads are just DS, not to say they are not good at all, but not as good as track higher temp pads that's all. :)

Unfortunately the red and orange markers on the rotors are not wear indicators but temperature indicators so that you know what max temp your rotors are at. the better ones have 4 levels of indicators..
On the series 2 the rear brakes are larger and also have 4 pot Brembo calipers. If you want to improve on factory and stay factory try the motorsport set up.

I’m surprised my Chevy SS comes with bigger rear brakes than the redline. Didn’t know that.
