Hello David, Greetings and may I wish you a slightly late Happy New Year for 2025. I just came across your channel earlier today and so far, I like what I see. I am lucky that I can afford to have several cameras, including Fuji X-H2, X-T4, X-T5 and X100VI, as well as a pair of Nikon Zfs. Lately, my everyday cameras are the Nikon Zf and X100VI, with maybe the Fuji being my first choice. I live in London and go out as often as I can all over the city taking photographs of anything and everything. Like you, I watch a lot of YouTube videos and find many content creators to be quite false, but also that a few are worth watching and listening to. Lately I have been very tempted by the Leica D-Lux 8 and today I am going to a large photography show in London and may buy the Leica if it is available. I love travel and over the last 5 years have travelled extensively in the UK but also to Rome, Florence, Pisa, Vienna, Strasbourg and Paris and shortly I am going to visit Stuttgart and Esslingen. I think the X100VI and the Leica would be ideal travelling companions. Thank you for producing such honest and interesting videos and I look forward to catching up on the ones I have missed and to seeing more from you. By the way, Vienna is a beautiful city and is my favourite city in the world outside of London. I first visited in the 1980s and fell in love with it, and my most recent trip was in 2023 in the summer when the weather was fantastic. And so was the Ottakringer beer too. 👍

Facts only seem to matter to reasonable people who are able to figure things out on their own instead of being guided through life because of their own weaknesses and the need for other to tell them what to think and how to act.

David - You are doing a fine job on your channel and I really appreciate your work. In all the forms and channels I have ever looked at they're always seems to be a large collection of trolls under every bridge waiting to rear their ugly heads. If I don't like something I simply turn it off and go on. Please try to ignore them as best you can and keep up the good work.

Many of them have nothing to do except to look for something to criticize.

Stay safe and stay the course and your membership will continue to grow.

I greatly enjoy your balanced and well thought out videos. Please keep them coming. You might have mentioned this before, but what are your different use cases for the Fujifilm X100VI vs. the Leica D-Lux 8? Does it depend on the degree of portability or are there other factors?

Just curious, how long is it normally taking to receive the D lux 8? Ordered mine 6/7/24

David..."the Fujifilm X100VI is technically on par if not superior to the Leica Q2" should not be a revelation to anyone. The Q2 was designed and then released 5 years before the X100VI. If you are going to compare a Q to an X100, maybe compare two technologically current cameras, like the Q3 and X100VI. Still a year apart, but at least not 5 years apart.

David, I am really confused. Why are you comparing the Leica Q2 (released in 2019) to the X100VI (released in 2024)? Even the Q3 is older than the X100VI (2023 vs 2024).

If you're going to the effort of posting a video, perhaps you could get the audio correct. Your vocals are only on the left. This is uncomfortable listening with headphones.

Enough already, David. You have made your criticisms known. It's time to move on and just discuss photography. People are going to think what they think; you cannot change that. We have heard your opinion of others' opinions. We get it. And we will tire of your incessant complaining. Do photography instead, please.

Enjoy your thoughtful comments on this wonderful equipment. Also agree we need to show compassion to our fellow human beings, but why do you need to thrust your political views into this discussion? Seemed jarringly out of place here. FYI, conservatives contribute much more to charity than their liberal counterparts in the US, so that is putting money where their hearts are, not just hot air.
