Plenty of people were forgiven and saved in the OT without a blood sacrifice.

I thought Christ’s death and resurrection was required to conquer sin, death and the grave.

Yes we’re saved by his life but saved from the power of sin, death and the grave.

He nailed the handwriting of ordinances that was against us to the cross.

And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

He condemned sin in the flesh.

He reconciled the world to Himself.

The cross accomplished a lot more than just Christ dying for our sins.

He does for our sins to save us from them in that He saved us from the consequences of them.
