Gamers say they want new ideas and innovation but get grumpy whenever any franchise publishes anything slightly different than the last game they played with a modest boost in graphics. If you don't like the way it looks, go play OOT for the billionth time.

Some of us want to run around kicking ass and taking names as Link and Zelda rather than slowly fishing for the exact same items with cosmetic changes over and over again.

I'm sure there will continue to be the big installments in the series proper, but any time Nintendo wants to take a risk with their treasured franchises, I think they at least deserve the benefit of the doubt. They know how to make good games.

+Sunbreaker7 This is not a traditional legend of zelda game. It is a spinoff made in collaboration with Koei tecmo the makers of the dynasty warriors series, hence the title "zelda musou/hyrule warriors". And like all dynasty warriors games, you must have multiple playable characters. I don't get why people keep treating this like a main zelda game instead of just another dynasty warriors game.

As a huge fan of Zelda games I find it so disappointing that they decided to go with this kind of combat style, and even let you play as Zelda.

The combat has always been about slow and strategy, block, strike, block, dodge, strike, and so on. Now it is just one of those fast phase hack and slash pipe run. Yes, it is an open world, but it feels like that you go to a place in the open world and a loading screen teleports you to an instance with a map that locks you to a certain path that you must go. And that's like everything it is. I do not know, seems just that way.

And why let us play zelda? Yes, maybe after completing the game or something as an extra fun, but Zelda games has always been about Link going on a journey to save Zelda and slay Ganon. In here it looks like Zelda never needed rescue in the first place, it should be Link captured by Ganon x)

I don't know, for me the series may finally be dead, I can not judge before I actually play it. Maybe it will prove to be better than it seems for now.
