I just got a RTX 3070 for 5990 swedish kronor. That's about 640 USD which in sweden is the MSRP for the RTX 3070.

Nvidia: Gives up

Nvidia in a couple of months: We signed a deal with arm to make SOC designs for future CPUs

4:54 The UK doesn't have Euros (€), they chose to hold on to their British Pound (£) back in the day.
There is still some pretty big conversion rate in between.

Sad that 'terrible at mining' is the new performance measure gamers need to look for.
Happy Nvidia will not be acquiring ARM, that seemed like a bad deal for consumers from the start. Best part of ARM is they sell their stuff (designs?) to essentially anyone that wants it. NVidia is large enough as they are I think.

I just got a 3060 on Newegg shuffle so I am at peace now.

I really wanted to buy an Ampere card to upgrade from my 1080 Ti back in September of 2020. But after seeing the prices go up and availability go down, I thought buying a 700$ MSRP card at ~1300 was kind of a dumb idea and would be pointless since I would spend 85% more than MSRP and thus defeat the purpose of buying a reasonable high end card (was planning on buying an RTX 3080). At this point I might as well wait for Lovelace to drop since it's not that far and my 1080 Ti really does everything I need it to. And if it doesn't, I can always use FSR or resolution scaling.

We still use pounds and pence in the UK, and the symbol there was a £ sign. The Euro has never been our currency, the UK opted out at the outset of the Euro. Prices like that though are quoted including VAT which any individual has to pay, which is 20%.

Glad to see the GTX1060 6gb in that review because according to Steam that is still the most common gpu in use by actual gamers

When I hear Greymon55, I think of a guy hiding beneath Jensen's desk and secretly listening to him 😆

Nvidia still has a license to make ARM CPUs regardless of the takeover attempt. Not likely that they will design their own new Architecture from scratch when they can start off using the design license that they already have.

One thousand cards is not really a lot. I expect that after the release these will be impossible to get at MSRP and perhaps impossible to get at all.

And the 3050 is no longer available in the US at all.

The UK uses Pounds, not Euro, if you convert from pounds to Euro, that will be the price in the us so about €/$290

I really want this to come out because it would %100 flip the market and many cards will become cheap with this in mind!

I got a 3070ti 4 months ago for MSRP UK from ebuyer. 3 came into stock and I was the 3rd to purchase within 60 seconds. Over the moon was an understatement
