I was there when there was some sort of event or ceremony in April. It sits on a hillside while the temple is lower. We got there while it was being rung but missed out on actually witnessing it because it is not right next to the temple. You could hear it's low, reverberating sound over a great distance. And the bell was massive, very impressive considering how old it is.
