If you’ve ever wondered what tent shape might be best for you, we encourage you to check out our new video, “The Different Shapes of Hilleberg Tents.” It explains the structural differences between our tunnel, dome, ridge and yurt tents, and why some shapes have advantages in certain environments or during different kinds of trips. While we believe that no one shape is better than the others, we also believe this video will help you find the one that is best suited to YOU and your adventures!

There is one very important thing you forget. The age of the customer. To be more specific, how agile or flexible is the person who uses the tent.

I am 58 now and in good condition. I use the tent for cycling holidays. The big disadvantage of tunneltents (for me, not that agile anymore) is that I need to crawl in the tent. And I don' t need to crawl in a dome or ridge tent. I just walk in till the inner tent, go down and my butt is at the sleeping bag. Just c, ose the tent and I am ready.

I’ve never had a tunnel tent. I own a soulo red label as does half of Europe now it’s just the perfect tent for a Scottish mountain. I want to get the inner mesh so I can use it more. No other tent manufacturer can match hillebergs quality

Is that Bosse at 1:52 with an early Keron ?! Cool picture :) This is a great video. I first came across Hilleberg in 2003 and agonized on this topic for 7 years before my first purchase (an Unna). I've used all designs now and find the Tarra to be my all-time favorite. Best of tunnel, best of freestanding... Unna is the most underrated and overlooked. Extremely versatile - especially with 10mm poles on offer.
