So basically World of Darkness is a game of broken telephone where nobody knows the original phrase and everyone is just hoping they say the right thing before they get disemboweled by horrors from beyond.

What's even more hilarious about Grunfeld Bach is that he's so zealous that he fundamentally misunderstands his intended quarry's thinking. He set the whole monastery scheme up to try and lure LaCroix there, while being incapable of realizing LaCroix is a chessmaster and would never in a million years deign to go out into some cave in the sticks - he would send a lackey (i.e. the Fledgling) instead.

"How Ignorant are Hunters?"
*Yes*

I appreciate this being brought up.
A lot of people new to WoD are under the impression that Hunters are the ultimate badasses that effortlessly kill everything and anything with ease while looking cool when in reality that's like, 1% of Hunters. The other 99% are hapless LARPer's who have no idea the extent of what they're up against and normally don't survive their first outing because of it.

The realization the Clan D is one of the more informed group of hunters even discounting Big D and all the information he's kept from the others.
Also hoping to see more if you're able to provide.

For real, Carmila being the first vampire is my favorite running gag in a series full of brilliant running gags.

How ignorant are hunters? Yes

(Even wizened ancillae and most mages are pretty clueless to what goes on in the night)

I was part of a 3 game super game for a little while, it was done as a test of the systems to see if thr new ones work well together. The final session saw all three groups, one of hunters, one of vampires, and one of werewolves, come together to see if we could deal with the main threat. It was really fun, as a member of the werewolves, I had known that one of my packmates had made contact with one of the hunters ahead of the final game, and they had been passing info back and forth, but at the finale, it turned out that one of the vampires had done the same and managed to convince the hunters he was part of a larger hunter org and was feeding them info on targets. In the end we all raided a "not pentex" location that was turning banes, evil spirits, into weapons. During the final bout as the vampires were dealing with a powerful sabbat member who had aligned himself with the company for security, 3 corrupted werewolfs, BSDs for those who know, popped out of the umbra and began fighting the hunters and us. We managed to kill one BSD, while the hunters used one of the bane guns to wound another one, while we kited the BSD leader away from the hunters. At this point the storytellers separated the groups so we didn't know what was happening in places we weren't at. Right as we were finishing off the BSD leader, the entire building blew up. Apparently, the Hunter's had decided to detonate the cache of mystical super weapons, but because of a botched roll, set the timer for a few seconds, rather than a few minutes.

It was actually a really fun game, I wouldn't mind getting involved in a big cross connected game like that again in the future.

[Edit: Since people have been falsely accusing me of lying, and attacking my character when unable to prove I am wrong, I will respond with page and perhaps even paragraph numbers to any (whom I have not already caught lying and muted) who attempt to correct me in the future whenever I am willing and able. This comment which was originally supposed to be fun, informative, and riff off of the "Stereotypes" sections in the books is apparently no longer allowed to be so.]

Not just Hunters, even the non-human factions don't know much about each other.

The Vampires don't know that the Werewolves are fighting evil spirits and gods to save the world itself (and several vampires would actually support them if they learned evil gods were coming to kill them, it's hilarious).

The Mages aren't sure why all the other Mages and themselves got started in a war to dictate reality.

The Werewolves honestly just don't care enough to learn the differences between their foes.

And the Changelings know so little that they actually think most of the other factions are just other Changelings that forgot they are Changelings.

It *just* hit me why Shitbeard sounded so pissed over Door's "Camilla" comment.

Given he's the most "educated" of the pack, hearing the hunters mangle Kindred terminology was probably driving him up a wall.

I have never caught a Bruva video this quickly.

I also love how D deliberately keeps his kids and grandson ignorant, since knowledge in this world is really dangerous.

Kindred lore is tricky because no one wants to or is allowed to share it.
Garou lore is tricky because everyone shouts it a little different.
Hunter lore is tricky because they're all dead.

The fact that the Vampires don't realize the Hunters aren't an organized "Second Inquisition" (at least in some of the lore I've read) fascinates me. I'm so used to urban fantasy where the various factions of supernaturals have a general knowledge of each other. In contrast, the baseline knowledge people in WoD know about other supernatural factions is "We think they might exist."

Th way this ended gave me the impression that it's a clip from a larger video I would love to watch.
