Salsa Beargrease first snow ride test. Testing my 2021 Salsa Beargrease in the snow. Testing it in fresh snow, light foot trail snow, and hard pack conditions to simulate groomed trails. This also is an important test of the 45nrth Vanhelga tires.

Great video mate. I have a Vanhelga mk2 like yours on a 50mm rim. Result is it comes out as 3.6 inches. In the south of England we don't get much snow, so its 6 months of mud!!. A thinner tyre cuts through mud better. Loving it. Rolls real quick.

What pedals are you using? Boots? I had a little trouble with snow packing onto my pedals recently and had trouble staying on my pedals, but it was a very wet snow. A video for your strategy with attire would be great. Thanks!

Was considering a Beargrease. After all the political hoopla in Minnesota(we're diehard Conservatives), we decided on something more neutral & ordered the Borealis Fat Bikes for Adirondack Winters(snowmobiles are too noisy & smelly). Do love the frame colors Salsa provides, and wish more bike brands would take notice.
