for the bottom of the food bowl one, it usually because the bowls are too deep. if cats bowls are too deep, their whiskers get irritated and uncomfortable so they are usually underfed and thats why they leave food at the bottom of the bowl

Actually the reason why cats won't eat the bottom of the bowl of food is bc their whiskers are sensitive and the bowl touching their whiskers hurts, so I recommend using a shallow bowl or plate. Hope this helps!

Cats whiskers are sensitive, so they get uncomfortable when eating out of deep dishes. If u want ur cat to eat everything in the dish a flatter dish might be a good idea. It'll bother them less.

If anyone who reads this has a cat who doesn't eat the bottom layer or leaves a ring of food, try getting them a flatter or wider dish, they may not be able to comfortably eat the food due to their whiskers touching the sides of the dishes
