The engineering for Scout is done by magna, so I guess the E axle and many other components are coming from magna . By the way people who say that it looks like A Rivian must be blind. If it looks like anything it's the new bronco. And it's not a coincidence since the original scout similar to the original bronco. But the original scout came first, so the bronco looks like the Scout not the other way around.

The CEO of Aptera mentions ABS in the most recent Aptera Owner's Club video (13 Jan 2024 upload). Sounds like they don't have the money to integrate it into the prototype vehicles right now, but they plan to include it. Maybe?

The back end of the Honda 0 SUV makes me think of someone taking the clay model of the Hyundai Ionic concept seven and slapping their hand upon the top/back end to squish the model down a bit. (It even makes a little farty splat noise in my head when I see the car spin the back).

As for the front end... I'm getting a little Honda E styling queues. I kinda like those. (Poor little abandoned model, I wish you had been better.)

The press release for the Y in Australia say the stalks are there (that that market at least) because of user feedback. There are no regs in Australia for must have stalks. The model 3 there doesn't have them.

The right hand drive markets have extensive roundabouts in their road systems - UK and Australia - hence the need for indicator stalks.

So the new Model Y has power folding back seats but no power frunk? I use the folding seats twice a year and the frunk every week, and I always have my hands full when I use the frunk but I don't when I fold the rear seats. WTF.

The rear looks a lot like the old Lincoln MKX. I always considered the light bar a Lincoln design element but it works on the Tesla.

For me Honda really nailed the new 0 Series, they stepped out and shown us something new🤟🤟😍
And what a surprise from Mazda bringing Mazda 6e this year to Europe, looks so good 🤩🤟🤟😍

MY refresh is like putting lipstick on a pig. The MY is and always been ho-hum, nothing special, especially with the minimalist interior. The range tweak is not worth any hype, they are behind even with their decade of a head start

They actually dropped the EPA range for the new Model 3 AWD LR from 353 miles to 346 miles, but 70 mph range tests indicated a range jump from 305 miles to 364 miles. I wonder if that will be true for the new Model Y as well.

Afeela is classic Sony creating a niche within a niche that will be interesting the day it comes out and never again. “$299” it is not. I like the 0 Series styling, but like Kyle and Tom said the specs/price will handicap them.

Thanks for spending some time on Aptera. I don't have the history context across many years which has made it hard to understand the polarizing opinions I observe.

Plus, when time is spent on Honda and Scout that are 2 years away and not at least mentioning Aptera given they claim PI versions now and production in a year, I'm confused why they are not mentioned occasionally as appropriate to the topic. Now I understand better why. Thank you.

I hope they make it and could be a viable vehicle for some uses for me. But, I'm only loosely following things since I do not have a deposit or investment etc. in Aptera.

I guess I’m part of the 25%. I would never purchase an EV if I can’t get service locally and with Tesla and Rivian being in others provinces, it’s a no go for me. I’ll stick with my GM local dealer who treats me good
