Where do you think ASU would be ranked had they not lost to Cincinnati?

This game is a tossup. I will say BYU, CU and ASU were all favored to finish 13th, 15th and 16th so it’s tight they’re 1, 2 and 3 in the standings. The fact ASU is 8-2 when virtually every sun devil thought 5-7 would be a huge step in the right direction is absolutely wild. This games a tossup.

I have BYU by 10! BYU will bring same amount of fans as ASU.

This is at Arizona State and you think it would be a harsh environment for BYU but there is a huge presence of the Mormon faith in Arizona. So there will be a lot of BYU fans there also.

The bias in college sports is still alive and well with the SEC and BIG 10 benefiting the most. But please explain to me how Notre Dame, Penn State and Indiana are so highly ranked? Even with BYU's loss to Kansas, is that a worse loss than that of Notre Dame? Who has Notre Dame or any of these teams beat compared to BYU? The BIG 12 will probably only get one team into the playoff due to this bias, but at least the 12 team playoff makes it more fair than ever before.

As an ASU fan, I believe they will get the win this weekend at home. Regardless, this has and will finish out as a great season for ASU for a variety of reasons, most of which in my book is our coach. ASU's future is probably as bright or brighter than any other team in the BIG12 and that includes Colorado. ASU is going to keep Coach K and he will make them a national power, he will. #FEARTHEFORK

Retzlaff is currently #64 in total QBR, in the country. Sam Levitt is currently #20.

I’d rather CU play BYU in the conference championship game than ASU.

This copout that claims it takes 45 minutes to explain tie breakers is nonsense. If BYU wins this week, they are likely in the CCG. If they win both their final 2 games then they are definitely in the CCG.

For ASU, if they win both their last 2 games (BYU and UA), they are most likely in the CCG unless BYU loses to Houston, in which ASU would NOT benefit from the head to head over BYU if the Cougars lose three straight to go 9-3. That would mean losing to Houston in that scenario.

There are ways Iowa State is still alive but ASU doesn't have to worry about them unless Colorado loses a game to join the 2 loss conference game club and then BYU loses 3 straight. Colorado will be favored to win both games. Iowa State still has to play Kansan State, assuming they get by Utah at RES.

So ASU is probably 90 percent likely to be in the CCG IF they win BOTH upcoming games.

ASU always struggles with pass rush. Last time they had a pass rush was the Will Sutton/Dennis Erickson days

ASU has one of the best 3rd and 4th down defenses in the country. We may not get a lot of TFLs and sacks, but we are good at keeping an offense progress down the field when it matters most

BYU coming to play. They hear all the noise and are ready to play some football.

Although ASU will be good at home, BYU is regrouping and their almost perfect season is on the line. I wouldn't bet against them. They are strong in every area of the game and won't be losing off of a fluke...as they did last week.

When you consider this one, be sure to note that turnovers will play a huge role. ASU is 8th best in the nation for not turning the ball over. BYU is 54th. While both teams do have the same turnover margin (+9), BYU is aided mostly by three games where Arizona, Utah, and Kansas State gave it to them 3+ times each. ASU won't do that. Yet BYU has almost double the giveaways on the season that ASU has.

Consider that along with that critical 3rd down conversation stat, and you've got yourself an ASU victory.

BYU wins with the superior defense, and balanced offense, if they don't lose the turnover battle. BYU only lost to Kansas after a freak punt play hitting the defender's helmet and cold, wet conditions led to the football squirting out of our DB's hands, giving KU an easy TD shortly after.
