i stayed at the ritz in hong kong once. the staff emailed me before I arrived asking for family pictures. They printed them and put them up with balloons and a hand signed note from the staff. as if the view and room weren’t special enough. that made it one of the best hotel stays i’ve ever had. the ritz really goes above and beyond

Use to live and work in cayman. I had several bookings as a singer guitarist for private parties. Played right in front of the ocean one evening facing hotel. Hundreds of people. The hotel was lit like an amphitheater it was a special memory for me. Thanks for the trip down memory lane😊🙏

i lived in GC for a couple of years. I'd lean over the railing and ask the fishermen what they had. in 20 mins from water to plate. I'd heard Morgan's Harbour had great food...the ceviche after one bite, i order another lol!!! Got scuba open water ticket... did the tests online! Was a great time...afterparty- wise. Expensive with CDN$/KYD$ exchange. If you network well, people are great. In two weeks, id met a CDN construction/ drywaller ( 400+ cut ceilings!!!) and his wife from Nicaragua. She insisted i stay with them. We both played guitar so free beer, waking to Julia (miss you jules) singing gospel while she cooked. Im spoiled now. How can I go to an all inclusive resort now? lol

the problem with these hotel cards is that their multipliers are pretty bad when considering value per point. So aside from sign up bonuses, it is tough to get 240k or so required for a 4 night stay from cobranded card spend. I think the Amex Gold with its 4x multipliers might be the best way to save up for an aspirational SPG or Hilton stay. Also, come February many of these are going up to 85k/night.
