BTW, Hiby discuss in detail on their product page for the W5 Bluetooth Reciever about how their Ultra Audio Transmission (UAT) codec/format works. I believe the UAT format is designed to switch between three bitrates, 600kbps, 900kbps, and 1.2Mbps.

Does the UP4's dual dac mode still work if it's pluged into a wall outlet and connected to my phone via bluetooth?

Can someone answer this? If I run Amazon hd through my phone it shows the songs quality and my phone's capabilities. It's usually like 24 bits and whatever khz. Some song's qualities are higher than what my phone is capable of. Will this allow me to hear the full quality of the songs even though my phone isn't capable of that high of quality sound? Like dose this improve on those numbers and let me hear the full quality of the song regardless of my phone's capabilities?

I hope you can help me figure things out...watched a few of your vidz already. My primary interest is Cell/BT/custom Car audio. I say BT, simply 'cause that's what I'm currently using. But. My HU does have both USB and 3.5mm Aux input so, I'd use whatever would provide the best overall sound, volume and quality. I have tested both the BT and Aux so far, and quality is very good ( Tidal HiFi ), however, I'm brutally disappointed in volume. So, with all that said, if my thinking is correct, it seems like using a DAC/Amp will help me. That, and given that volume is my primary concern, it seems that I would best be served by using whichever unit is least expensive. Thoughts, tips, advice all welcome.
