Did my investigation push Aupen to update their website?

Note: Yesterday, while recording an update, I discovered their website was locked in passport-protected mode! Since then, a new version went live, with some big changes: the founder's name is there, but no mention of Singapore as their manufacturing location. I’m excited to see this new level of transparency from Aupen, and I'll be keeping a close eye on their progress. 🕵️‍♂️

In which world is anything made in Singapore. If they make them in Singapore, the only way they’ll profit is if they charge you at least 1000 Singapore dollars for a small sized handbag (or a wallet) cos everything is so bloody expensive there.

Even Charles and Keith, their homegrown brand is not made in Singapore and costs max 200-300 Singapore dollars. But don’t buy them, they suck (I used to be a big fan but all their bags will peel after 6-12 months of wear).

Fantastic work and the fake leather industry deserves to be exposed for the false claims/ advertising.

Next a certain German automotive reviewer needs to be educated that expensive leathers DO NOT come from cows who are removed only for there skins. This person tried to tell me that vegan leather is better for the environment etc

Have you ever tried open sea leather? I'm not sure how shipping is internationally with them. They are located in Hawaii, USA. But the prices are very fair I believe, and from my amateur opinion they are very nice quality. Full grain leather and some exotic leathers as well.

Thanks for the work! The copycats are getting smarter. Copy the so called “quiet luxury designs” use good leather and create a website with an incorrect country. The warehouse could be set up in Singapore with the sole purpose of shipping as well.
