I think this is a very interesting idea and has the potential to be great.
As a guy that repairs tools for a mechanical contractor (steam fitters, and sprinkler fitters) I'm interested to see how well this will hold up over time, how well it will work (and for how long) on crusty existing pipe, how well it will survive an impact (since the operator isn't required to have their hands on it to operate it, the chances of this getting dropped out of a scissor lift have greatly increased) and how much of it is easily serviceable/repairable.
The fold away handle won't last long in the field - guaranteed.

Please note that I'm not trying to S**t on it, I'm looking at potential failure points based on my experience with these types of tools, and with Milwaukee tools over the last 13 years because that's my job.
I hope it winds up being great. Chances are good my employer will wind up with a small fleet of them.

That Rigid ones a grand!!
Throw an adapter on your drill and it's no longer a crank. Also, it does have a guide on the top, that is totally adjustable on the fly. 🙄🙄

its seems kind of useless for a sprinkler fitter that grooves pipe all day if you cant use it on 11/4 - 2 inch pipe . Why not put a 1/2'' impact on the hand groover that seems a lot lighter

Is there a threader like this? All we’ve got is their threader that is variable speed and requires user control. It gets caught often and can sometimes lift one up if they’re inexperienced. I could for sure see us getting something like this to use on 1.25-4” if it threads

Product rep beats around the bush and circle around the drain for several minutes and still leave us hanging. Too much posturing. Get to the point. Tell us what the machine does, show the machine in action, tell us why we need it, then shut up.
