I decided for the Ulanzi Zero Y because of the option to use arca swiss and my l bracket. I like the F38 more but you can´t take vertical panorama shots. That´s a dealbreaker for me.

Just got mine. I like it, but… that head is not Arca Swiss compatible. None of my L-Brackets fit, nor do the Peak Design plates. Argh!

Just a FYI - There is a Ulanzi plate that is compatible with F38 and Peak Design v3 clip BUT this Tripod's F38 quick release series is not compatible with that I believe. You could get a separate Arca ball head and swap it out with the included center column to accommodate arca swiss

Not a fan of the clamp for the vertical post adjustment. Would prefer if it clicked into place.

The problem with this one is that there are plenty of travel tripods that are half the price again and if you include aluminum cheaper yet. I like the ideas that ulanzi stole off peak design and is selling for half the price but I don't have any real complaint about my knock-off arca-swiss plates. I suspect the difference would be in the feel in the hand but I don't have any complaints about my tripod that a fluid head wouldn't solve.

Thank you for your video. I recently bought this tripod to get something smaller than my other four tripods. My current small tripod is the Gitzo GK100T travel pod. So far so good.. Was wondering if I should get the Arca-Swiss compatible Zero but figured I give the F38 version a try. Th reason I debated is because I typically have an Arca-Swiss compatible SmallRig base plate for all my cameras. Will those base plates I’m wondering if I should or shouldn’t stack the plates to use this Tripod attachment plate. We will see. Any recommendations?

I've seen a few people comment on the centre column leaning forwards, even without a big lens. Have you experienced this in the time since making this video?

the only big issue I see with this tripod is that you cannot remove the legs for cleaning e.g. from water....this can be a big problem.

The tripod looks great however I would imagine the company is in China with no offices or repair facilities in the US or Canada? Please correct me if I am wrong. So am leery about buying something this expensive from a company in China and getting the support we all might need. A lot of times you never hear from companies in China and they wont back up their products?

On Ulanzi F38 page someone asked a question: "Question: Is the ballhead quick release arca swiss compatible?" Answer: This ball head is not compatible with arca swiss, it is ulanzi F38 quick release ball head. Will need to use the 3/8" center post. So they say not compatible with Arca Swiss?? But you say it is? I have RRS L camera plates and will it fit fine? Thanks, I was going to purchase with your code but now on hold.
