Great video. I appreciate you taking real non-perfect shots to learn from.

Wonderful video. Jack Niklaus said he aimed at left side of green, aimed face at center of green. He did that his entire career and won 54 majors.a perfect shot started on left side of green and faded in to center of green. I have found a "pull fade" needs a little closed face 5 degrees at address, but thats just me. If you r slicing a little, try closing the face or try hitting to left more (to the shortstop for americans)-a baseball reference.
Ball position needs to b more forward, as you said. Great video!
1)aim left and swing left.
2)ball position forward.
3)if slicing, close face 5degrees or roll the face closed more at impact

But, I real never know where any of drives R going and most shots from the fairway! LOL! Of course…. Thanks 2U make chipping & pitching has improved! LOL !Thanks so much for this tip! I have suspected, that something in my set up could help me be more accurate ! LOL!

Gotta say big thanks for the tip. Struggled with consistency hitting a fade and moving the ball up in the stance helps me feel like I can move more comfortably to impact

Interesting point about aligining the club face for a fade- either close or open the face.. This has been a source of confusion to me for a long time whether to open or cose the face. Depends entirely on your perspective that much instruction does not elaborate on.

Traditional and common instruction suggests if you want to fade the ball, you open the club face somewhat relative to the body line at address for a fade but not as much as to the target line (somewhere half between) .

The opposite is true for a fade if club face is aligned with target line at address while the body is aimed off to the left of the target line. In that instance, you will be closing the club face relative to the target line to to hit a fade (somewhere in between the target line and the body line.)

Seems to me it is common practice at address to line up the club face with the target at address first then move the body line to the left. Using this as a starting point, then you would laways be clsoing the club face relative to the target line for a fade —just the oppositie of what we have been taught for years!

Great video….the graphics are excellent for teaching. Seems like a difficult shot that needs much practice.

Hi Chris
I really enjoy your videos. You have a way of explaining so that everyone can understand. Thank you. I can't wait to take this to the driving range and try it myself 👍

My shot is similar to yours, in that I open the club face, but I struggle to get much fade. I think it's that my natural tendency is to hit a draw. Funny thing, though...on the course, I tend to hit slight fades with my longer clubs. I've never investigated it with a trackman....so would be interesting. My sense it that it has to do with how I follow through on my course shots....especially when I'm trying to navigate a narrow part of the fairway.

I couldn't hit a fade at all with this technique. At all. What it did for me, however, was to perfect my natural draw. This is how I will set up and swing from now onwards!

Love the video, I normally shoot around 1 or 2 over for 18 consistently, I play a normal hook but this was able to help my straighten out my ball flight, thanks man

I think you have to also keep the toe from getting ahead of the heal, through body rotation.

Great tips. Would like to be able to follow the ball flight in video.

Awesome.. I will try it.. I am tired of hitting tree's 🌳.. with a hook that starts to far right from the the tee box

I’m working hard to implement a fade through my whole game as I’ve found a draw end up with a close face at impact and distance is lost or out of control direction.
You mentioned the “whole body” alignment left. I play a open stance but yet the club face is always shut down at impact. Besides a strong grip if a player just opens their feet on this shot could that be why the club face getting shut down feeling like a massive inside out swing? My shots sound awesome, center face strikes and powerful but a huge draw/hook.
