Brian, I really respect you trying to educate several generations of individuals who no longer have a love for words. Sadly, much of this should to taught in schools, rather than words from the urban dictionary

3:44 : 10 - Infer : to draw a conclusion.
4:52 : 12 - Wane : to decrease gradually.
5:40 : 14 - Evince : to reveal.
6:04 : 15 - Quixotic : idealistic and impractical.

I knew all of them except the last one. I still got it right because I "inferred" that "Quixotic" referred to Don Quixote, thus making the answer obvious.

B1 and b2. I passed, and c1 I had confused with words I knew. C2 last words was completely new to me. But I didn't know that it had different definitions, thank you. From st.paul Minnesota.

I would like to point out that the options for elope are somewhat confusing. Elope means to run away to get married. It has also been used in the context of slipping away (to escape), so I think semantically the word is more concerned with the act of running away. This is further substantiated by the etymology of the word.

I’m from the Netherlands and my school days are long gone. But 13 out of 15 is not bad don’t you think? Learning English from such an attractive teacher is a treat anyway! 🙋🏼‍♀️

Didn't know evince, but got it right anyway.

Fun fact "quixotic" comes from the classic tale of Don Quixote De La Mancha. The title character has a grand and yet warped idea that he will be a knight.

15/15. I knew 14 cold but did not know "evince" but guessed right. Native English speaker and been around a long time.

To elope had me in some difficulty, for it also means to just run away to escape something. Not all people who elope do that to get married!
To state that to elope means to get married, is an oversimplification of the full scope of the word.

All 15 again. As a bilingual German, I find these quizzes rather easy. Sad that many Americans don't.

I knew only first several words. Almost all the words in this list are new to me. Though I learn English since my childhood. Sometimes I guessed the meaning of some words, but it was mostly occasionally.
Thank you for helping us to study English!

Correct 15 out of 15. ( I should always get all of the words, as I am a doctor, and was in school for 24 uninterrupted years before I received my surgery degree) Doctor George Whitehead

13/15. Learned something new with evince. Also learned that I was saying it wrong with the words wary and quixotic 😅. Great content.
