great video! im am beginning the cleaning stage of my old milk barn, about the same age as yours. it has a more traditional roof pitch of an old hay barn and is a little bit wider then yours. im hoping to turn mine into a green house for growing herbs, such as rare lavenders. my milk pit looks very similar to yours as well, except where the cows stands isn't as high up as yours so it wont be as difficult to work with and I wont need any stairs or leveling. I can custom build my shelves. The drians will come in handy for watering my plants (lord willing they still drain!) and like yourself I have electric, windows to replace and doors to make. Funny... I have milked in multiple barns over the years and this is the very first time ive ever seen windows in the parlor. I would think the cows would have knocked a few of those windows out over the years! going to check out your channel, hoping to see an update!

Instead of raising the floor in the milking room, I would demolish the platforms. Make it all one level. Hopefully, the outer walls and footings are all on the same level.
