Thanks Zach! I bought the Eclipsion 3 last time round based on your review, and was excited to hear what you had to say about the new Eclipsion 4. In fact, I went out to buy a pair a week ago and felt that it was immediately more comfortable than the 3s in terms of wider fit and more pliable materials in the upper. The 3s tend to kink a bit when you bend your foot at the toe. So all in all, it is exactly how you described it. Lighter, more comfortable and immediately impressive without the need for breaking in. An all-around upgrade to the previous iteration.

I really hope Yonex brings the blue/black colourway to Southeast Asia because the Eclipsion 4s that come only in white tend to stain easily, and the toe guard will pick up the colour of the court easily when dragging the toe.

The Yonex Eclipsion 4 surprised me, and it's now my preferred pickleball shoe. My PB shoe adventure began with the Adidas Adizero Ubersonic 4. I liked the light feel, but even with orthotics, I would feel ball-of-foot pain after a few matches.

Next was the Nike Zoom GP Turbo. I still love 'em, but they're heavy and hot.

My third and least favorite was the Asics Court FF 2. They're like going from a sports car to an SUV. I felt taller and higher, which is a weird feeling. I felt almost uncoordinated in these shoes. They are incredibly light, but I also couldn't get over the uppers popping sound every time I took a step.

Now I'm all in with the Yonex Eclipsion 4. Break-in time felt like an hour tops. They're the perfect mashup of the GP Turbo and Ubersonic 4. Light, cushioned, stable, and fast.

Thanks for the review! I would not have bought these since I wasn't familiar with Yonex shoes.

Finally someone made them with actual durable outsoles. Great review. Will try these.

I would change the shuttle test to have the closest hand touch the ground; will slightly improve speed; Just bought a FANTASTIC pair of Artengo's's TS500 for $58! Give em a review, I feel like I hacked the industry.

My roger pro is finally unusable and I’ve bought 3 different pairs to play with: Asics Solution Speed FF2, Yonex Eclipsion4, Nike Turbo GP, all based on your reviews, unfortunately none of your affiliate sites ship to my location and I couldn’t find Lotto and Diadora near me.

I bought all the shoes in my normal size. Interestingly my half size down Roger Pro felt long enough and slightly wide to me, but the Turbo GP ended up being so narrow I literally couldn’t put my feet in and need to exchange for a larger size.

I have played with the Yonex today for the first time. At first it felt too narrow and the toe bix didn’t seem tall enough for me, but luckily it ended up fine after a while. It was stable and…”comfortable”? It’s comfortable not in a plush way, but that it muted everything out and I didn’t feel like I was stepping on anything. One thing I notice is as that it felt less nimble than the Roger Pro to me. I’m not sure if objectively there’s any performance difference, but I was feeling the heels more than usual and less “on my toes”, and so was not having the “grip the ground and twist to accelerate” sensation. Seemingly contradictory to the above though, I think each of my steps feels more distinct now.

you should do a review of the air jordan 4

Zach, would've like to hear your thoughts on the lateral stability of these vs the 3s given the 4s seem to have done away with the heel shank. Also, was telling to see Ruud playing with what appeared to be the 3s and NOT the 4s in the French. You could tell by the sole of his shoes he was NOT wearing the 4s. I'm not yet sold on the 4s and are instead trying the Lotto Raptor Hyperpulse 100 as you recommend. Thanks for sharing your thoughts once again.

Had the 3s and really didn’t like them. Too stiff and uncomfortable. Are these better in that area?

Between Eclipsing 3 and 4 which would be better? Is the 4 worth the extra $26 dollars? I don't like how yonex is heading for the tennis shoes. The bottom part used be be separated from the middle and use hard plastic and carbon fiber to connect them which creates a stiffer support for hardcore tennis. Now, the shoes are becoming softer which for me the performance is getting worse. Is the 4 too flat? I need to run up and volley. Is the forwarding speed slow due to the flat design?

A cracking shoe. Fit my like a glove. Does feel a little firm up front but after seeing this vid I'm guessing it's the plate. Highly recommend these for people like me who have massive big toes.

Hi Zack, thanks for a great review. I am getting these. I have medium width foot and currently using Gel-res8 in size US 9.5 which fits me perfectly. Should I go up half a size since Yonex tend to run narrower?

Hey! l need your medical view in this topic.
Do you recommend or think its ok to buy used shoes? Would replacing the insole deep cleaning and washing it with %95 alcohol be enough. Should l maybe replace the tongue. Or used shoes must be avoided at all costs because of fungus.

Got these recently and found my feet ache in them, which is a first for me after having had Wilson, NB, KSwiss and Diadora shoes... they are a comfortable true to size fit otherwise and have a very strong grip in the clay version I bought. Stable and fast enough, however I will need to fit better arch support for these

0:56 I don't think it's about aerodynamics. They design it so it's better when it bends
