It's common for kpop groups to do solo act for each member in concerts, if they dont have a solo song or singing isnt their strong suit, they will do a dance number or play musical instruments (or other talents) instead. If they dont feel like performing alone, they'd ask one or two other members to do something with them.

the solo thing is in every k-pop group. example, i went to stray kids concert last year and each member did a solo song of theirs and the duos and then the full member songs. during the whole concert solos were kinda sprinkled in and it made it super super exciting for stays.

The difference between one direction and groups like bp and bts is that as a group these two are really close. Not only them but many kpop groups are really close. They really don't shade each other nor they feel jealous. The main reason is that they train together years after years. Through this hard process they become each other's support system. Obviously there some groups who aren't close. Anyway due to this closeness you can feel their chemistry when they perform. You know just like BP.

But yeah BP slayed so hard in Coachella.

Like y'all can't judge them without watching them. Each member shines individually as well as a group. The 4 of them have different colors and flavours to add in the group. You can identify easily who is who. I mainly started listening to them because they are different from other k-pop groups.
