Unboxing: Voyager Golden Record

Tom unboxes the Voyager Golden record boxed set of LPs and photo book.

I purchased mine and it's still on it's way to me.  Trivia question.  The record on Voayger is 12" just like the ones in the box.  If only one record was included on Voyager, why did they need three records to send us all the same information?  Give up? The one on Voyager is designed to play at transcription rate which is 16 2/3rpm. Our records turn at 33rpm. The faster the record spins, the less total data can be stored on it. Have fun!!
