Black Sabbath - Paranoid (Bass Cover) (Play Along Tabs In Video)

Tips And Comments:

- Playing Technique:

Played next to the neck with middle-high strength. Just neck pickup activated

- Gear Sound:

Added some bass and lots of mid freqs. Not much treble, or even cut a bit. Added high gain or some distortion pedal might work too

- About The Song:

Classic song and nice to play along to. Probably the hard part is getting the main riff well. Some stamina consumed also. Transcribed from studio version (original) and positions corrected with old live videos.

*All the tabs in this channel are created by me, if you have any advice in the transcription feel free to comment!

*Gear: Taurus t-24 Washburn 4 String Bass (D'addario .045 Standard Strings)/ Ibanez SA 120 Guitar/ Alesis Dm6 Drums - ESI Ugm-96 Interface - PC (Digital Processing)

I am a HUGE Black Sabbath fan. I'm talking sitting alone in my room at 16 years old learning to play the guitar parts for their first four albums. This is absolutely, hands down the most accurate, authentic performance of Paranoid I have ever heard in my life. Your attack, your tone, the gain, it sounds like I'm sitting in their studio listening to Geezer's bass track on the master. Well fucking done sir.

I love how clear the bass actually is in this song as well. You can hear it really clearly

I'm french(excuse me if i make english mistakes hé hé)but i want to say that we always care about lead guitar in rock music, and often we forget the bass, but without the base drum-bass guitar, rock music lacks of depth.

This was the first song I ever learned to play on bass. Great cover, well done.

Black Sabbath and Motorhead, two of the only bands you can hear the bass more than the guitar itself.

Stared at the tab for so long the 7's turned into eighth rests.

This song kills my hand, the endurance you need to just constantly be playing those eighth notes with basically no break for 3 mins

Thank you for the upload. I always wanted to learn a Black Sabbeth song after buying the greatest hits CD about 8 years ago. I was just blown away by their music and how each instrument compliments eachother

I’m a bass player and I think your cover is excellent! I wish you could hear the bass in the original song as much as you do in this video

Nicely done on one of my favorites. It proves greatness can be simple. The bass line for this song was so perfect. I will never tire of it. One of my favorite lyrics of all times, "Make joke and I will sigh and you will laugh and I will cry."
