Arizona's new casitas law paves the way for more housing in the state.

This new law allows Accessory Dwelling Unit's (ADUs) or casitas to be built on single-family home lots in cities with more than 75,000 people.

The law went into effect Jan. 1.

A local business owner who specializes in casitas tells FOX 10 Phoenix he already has customers ready to move in.

So instead of your children moving back into your house… you build them a casita to live in, in your back yard…🤣😂🤣

Why does a city have to have a population more than 75, 000 to be able to build a casita on your property???

Why can't people buy small plots of land with city utilities to set a mobile home or trailer home on it? Just like you can buy a lot for a house with utilities, and pay taxes just like a house. I'm not saying a trailer park or mobile home park, but purchasing a lot of land with city utility services to put what ever you want (house or mobile home) to put on it? The cities could clear lots and establish utilities for people to buy and use for housing regardless of the type of housing that they choose to live in?
