Does The EV Van Revolution Start With Vans Like The Maxus eDeliver 9? | Tom Roberts Van Video | #ev

In the latest #vanarama van video, Tom takes a look at the formidable Maxus eDeliver 9 large electric van & asks if it's vans like this that will truly start the EV van revolution. Driven by a 150kW motor (equivalent to a 204hp engine), the eDeliver 9 is capable of ranges nearing 200 miles (with the 88.55kW battery). But this is a van that represents something... a new dawn, perhaps? See what you think.

I also reviewed the Maxus eDeliver 9 in my channel! I must say it's very promising, lots of potentials, but needs an identity because the design looks very alike the Ford Transit

What a great review. I would like to know how far can it travel with a full charge.

Why does the front look like a Ford transit?

Please do a review on the new Vauxhall Movano 2022 as Vauxhall changed the Movano from the recent facelift of a Renault Master to a new facelift of the Peugeot Boxer.
I think you can get the new Vauxhall Movano but it would be interesting to see.

Other than that great review of the Maxus E-Deliver 9:)

So is the max charge rate 100kW? It does seem like definite step forward, but I still really need 200 miles. OK, this might do 200 miles in summer if you stick to 50 sort of thing which is as good as it gets in this size at the moment. Does it have a heat pump? How many miles per kWh at 60? The compromises in these engine-swap bodies limit both space usage and overall performance. I wonder how the Rivian and Arrival 'next gen' vans compare to this. I certainly think the next 2 years are going to be dramatic in this space - I just have to pick when to jump.

Why did you not shoot this during the daytime? Also a video based on real world use and more information about the real world range of the vehicle would have helped.

It’s a Tardis! Load width 3.4m. You’d never guess from the outside...
Isn’t it familiar because it’s a Transit rip-off?
And are all the superlatives because it’s a paid promotion?

'not only does it look familiar'...yes, old Henry wants his Transit back....VW changed the inside of a Van, they created the Transporter, which is about as much car like as a Van can be, lovely to drive. I hope this is not like the LDV derived Maxus, now that was like driving a top heavy four poster bed, with a radio just far enough away that no one driving could reach it, probably inspired by the same design/ thought process that angled the radio away from the driver in the Morris Ital.

Vibrations…. Well the AC pump compensates for that…

Will you be doing a review on the vivaro-e?

I've sat in the deliver 9 . It's still a bit cheap, just little things are annoying. Passenger seats funny fold completely down. Basically it's ok but it does not feel like a sprinter van. I wish we had the electric version in Australia through. We are completely lagging behind rest of the world. Government is on the pocket of the corporations, complete f**k tards 😂

Too many superlatives for what is still a prosaic vehicle, even if it is pretty decent. Being positive and being gushy are not the same thing. Have you thought of going into Politics or something, Tom?
