JUSTIFYING the Dallas Cowboys first round pick 🤠🔥

I questioned this pick when the cowboys made it but I've warmed up to the pick especially when I looked at Mazi Smith's college highlights.

I agreed wholeheartedly with this pick because I have been complaining for years about the team’s Achilles heel on defense, which has been stopping the run. Gallimore has been proven to be a bust, as he was constantly pushed twenty yards down the field by opposing team’s backup guards. Last year the team still had issues stopping the run, as the average yards per rush was atrocious. If they can learn to stop the run, then it will make Micah and Tank and Fowler that much more dangerous, not to mention guys like Williams and Overshown.

He had the most reps at the combine, and he’s way faster then people think. He also played his role at Michigan, he could’ve went for the sack but he stayed disciplined and played his role. Strength, Speed, and Discipline? Cmon mayne

1st this was my pet cat in whole draft. The easiest way to beat Dallas was to run the ball. That's the 1 thing he is good at stopping. When u dig in on his athletic trades and then watch tape and see he clearly was not asked to hunt I believe he has more upside then many expect. May never top 5 sacks but if consistently stops the run he's a A+ pick.

A lot of talent evaluators before the draft had Mazi Smith in their top 25-20. So while it may not make lots of sense for those armchair GMs, the guys who legit scout players for a living saw him as a great prospect
