I Set A RECORD In This Game Mode! BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - primary only is a rarely talked about game mode but also happens to be a very interesting one for a survival challenge! This is how I got to the highest round possible on it.

About the Ben placement. If it's about line of sight you should've put him as much to the top right on his little platform as possible. That would've caused him to have a slightly worse line of sight angle, being able to see bloons slightly later.

Saying this again, 20 paragon degree increments don't matter in non-boss game modes. The power curve for paragons in normal modes is rather smooth, with the only discrete jumps being to damage, which occur every 10 degrees starting degree 11 (then 21, 31, 41 etc.) because these degrees add one layer to the attacks of paragons (check the BTD6 wiki page for more details).
