I think that the blunt honesty about themselves - both Adele and George - are unique in that business. George never owed the press a formal declaration of his sexuality, he was out to his friends and family and he had said in interviews that the press did know he was gay but they wanted to announce it in a dramatic way - hence, the entrapment by the police in the park in Beverly Hills - He was always honest about his fears, insecurities, depression, love, pain of loss - all of it. His music is all autobiographical as he said "if you want to know me, listen to my music" - and, you really do feel it strongly. Adele did "Fastlove" justice, the opening of "Freedom Uncut" had me in tears just hearing
