The young lady is on point, it is not all South Africans who are Afrophobic. This young lady represents me as a South African.

The African mentality is what makes it so easy for the colonizers to divide and conquer

Africa must learn to also unite in other African countries, not only in South Africa. We will not be bullied by foreigners.

Now African Unity must come at a cost of South African sovereignty ? madness.

For what apologize exactly? Telling the truth? Identity theft is crime sweet!

South Africans have been categorical about this matter. Finding one clout chaser to contradict our general attitude is mischievous and opportunistic. We apologize for nothing.

Who ask her to apologize on our behalf, she's apologizing for herself. She's not our spokesperson. No one send her.

There's nothing to apologise about. If you want to live in South Africa you must do so legally and not stealing someone's identity

South Africans you are the only ones who get to decide who should participate & represent your country in the Miss South African pageant.
Period.
Xenophobia & racism are a whole different conversation that don't apply in this context.
Be firm and don't allow people to gaslight you out of your collective national decisions that are within your legal, social, and cultural rights.
We are all Africans, we love each other, and we have borders for a reason.

As a black man, I am flabbergasted, "black South Africans are very special humans, they can't wait to have a white president" !! Greetings from Tanzania, one love, one Africa, one black people!!!

One thing I've learnt about this whole situation is that when we talk about the good things Nigerians are known for, we're brothers, but any criticism, we're xenophobic. So we're supposed to just keep quiet and let this "African Unity" benefit Nigerians only ?

Im not a South African but what I believe they are saying is you cant assume a role that is essentially theirs alone by virtue of sovereignty and try carry it out yourself as a foreigner. Its best to listen to what they say than fight them on this social space otherwise it makes you look like you now have an agenda.

In 2023, Lydia Balogun was rejected by many Nigerians who said she doesn't represent & carry the "Nigerian identity, culture and language. Thus double standards!!!

I don't remember voting or choosing anyone to speak on my behalf by a clout chaser.
