In my opinion, I think that corruption had a really good story. I really liked the concept of other hunters being corrupt by this powerful poison that can destroy planets (by destroy I mean leave in ruins, kind of like how the “great poison” took out all of the Chozo in MP1)

I think Prime 3 was the saddest. You meet these Hunters and were friends with them in the beginning. Having to eliminate them cause if the corruption was heart breaking. The closing cinematic just added to the tragedy. All around excellent game.

The motion controls were really fun in this game all things considered. Felt a lot more immersive that way for me.

I thoroughly enjoyed Corruption. I enjoyed the use of the motion controls because it wasn't as invassive as skyward sword. I hated skyward sword because of it's controls but MP3's were ok. I loved sky town too. I enjoyed the ship sections and I agree with you that they could have done more with that idea. Good review of MP3.

You already can turn off the hints in Corruption. It's an option in the settings.

If Metroid Prime was 3D Super Metroid, then Metroid Prime 3 is 3D Metroid Fusion: more linear, less freedom, more emphasis on story than previous games, where Samus also gets absolutely stupid powerful at endgame even by Metroid standards. There's even a voice constantly telling you exactly where to go in both games.

Corruption was my introduction to the Metroid Prime series, and Metroid as a whole. I know that because it was on the Wii, they kinda dumbed it down a bit to make it more entry level to fit with the Wii's more casual audience. But I mean... it brought me into the series and made me a fan for life, so you can't say it doesn't accomplish exactly what it sets out to do.

Imo Prime 3 was the best one in terms of being cinematic. The best weapons and visors was prob Prime 2 though.

about half of the ship cutscenes can be skipped, the only ones that cant be skipped are the scenes of the ship enter/exiting hyperspace to jump from one planet to another as those are actual loading screens.

I'll also take the ship over any of the other transportation methods any day. Prime 3 has only a hand full of 'elevators' like in Prime 1 and 2 but the ship basically bypasses all of them as an all encompassing fast travel mechanic. Having to travel to a specific elevator to then go from one place to another or even potentially multiple elevator rides just to reach a certain destination will always be worse than just traveling to the nearest ship yard, calling your ship, and then traveling directly to the spot you want from almost anywhere in the map.

I can admit that the powerups in prime 3 were kinda weak (cool but not as "samus" as the other 2 games).
I like corruption the most because it made you watch your energy with hypermode. The Space Pirate homeworld was actually a difficult planet for me. Corruption also had some really neat and intricate puzzles/obstacles (not that the other 2 didnt) like zipping in elysia or the many wonky morph ball devices. Also, they restricted the keys grind somewhat (collecting keys was trash(i would understand why prime 1 is #1 for this reason)).

All three are 9.X/10 games for me, with the first possibly being a 10/10. For me, personally, Echos is the weakest, and it goes 1>3>2. I often found the dark world off putting to the point I was reluctant to explore it, and I disliked all the one-way paths (which aren't even clearly marked as such on the map). These were only minor gripes though and Echos is still amazing over all. Prime 3 doesn't initially have the same feelings of isolation and atmosphere that the first two do, but around the time you reach Skytown it starts getting better and better. Both Skytown and Pirate Homeworld are some of my favorite environments of the whole trilogy (Skytowns Metroid Lab was when I suddenly realized how invested I was). Also quick shout out to the motion controls - best on the Wii, no exception. Set it to advanced to give the smallest deadzone and it's so freaking smooth. Prime trilogy adding those controls to the first two games deserves special mention as that was my preferred way to play all three till Prime Remastered.

I once let my mom play Corruption. Later, when she saw me playing it, she was impressed with how smoothly I could navigate it.

I really liked Corruptions story, levels and visuals. Skytown is one of my favorite areas in Metroid, I wish you could do more with the ship commands it's a very fun idea. Maybe in 4 since that version of the ship is returning we might see it usable outside of scripted puzzle instances. The bosses felt a bit weak though, I feel, to compensate for hyper mode, the boss fights have a lot of invulnerability phase and you're chipping at something to then do damage to their actual health bar, they can take forever. Though the final fight with Dark Samus and the Aurora unit was quite good.

I love all 3. Echoes is my favourite, but I will say MP3 is the most fun to pick up a play, and Skytown is my favourite Prime level in the series.

Prime 3 is my favorite Metroid game in the series despite me knowing of its flaws. Playing it through primehack on veteran difficulty is probably the best way to play it imo.

Metroid Prime 3 is not the worst it's actually my favorite of the Prime Games so far let's how Prime 4 ends up I don't understand why people dislike Prime 3?
