Man I have to say there are a few moments where the beat and flow of song really matches the animation even though it clearly wasn’t animated with it in mind

Both themes are literally designed for their respective visuals. The 106 volume opening is more a "vegapunk theme" rather than an "egghead theme".

It is true that Calli's Future Island song would be perfect opening for the anime but goddammn Hiroshi Kitadani's is just oozing of oh pre-ts One Piece and its perfect callback as it makes the whole series a full circle with him kicking-off the Final Saga as he did with the very start of the Romance Dawn arc

This one feels so much more retro which is what I expected from something that looked as futuristic as egghead, however the song they did was good and catchy and I love how the singer put his soul into it at the start and end

the egghead beat does work with the exposition of egghead and its aesthetic, but the actual OP does it better when it comes to hyping up the other events in the arc as well

I remember saying when the song came out with its music video I would love for that to be the official egghead opening cause it would break with the usual one piece opening tropes and would be a breath of fresh air. and then they just went and made this breathtakin master piece that was like a gust of fresh air lmao
