Just to clarify: I KNOW the Potara fusion is only permanent to Kais. The point is: Elder Kai had ALREADY said the fusion would be permanent, (Of course he wasn’t aware it wouldn’t be permanent for mortals), THEN, after saying that, he says the fusion can only be done once a lifetime, therefore, he’s referring to the fact that they can’t fuse again while fused.
