You really have a romantic soul! Congraurations from a Chinese music lover!
Price Igor is one of my all time favorite. Because of this music, I started to learn Russian history, I traveled to central Asia and Georgia just try to figure out who are these Polovetsian people and the story behind this music. If I'm not mistaken(it's difficult to find a Chinese translation for this opera), I noticed that this song is sang by a group of slave girls captured near the Caspian sea where today is Georgia and Azerbaijan region. I believe this piece is deeply related to Borodin's own identity, to his beautiful dreams and regret about his true father's homeland-Georgia. He is literally the slave himself, he desires freedom and home deep in his heart.
