If the majority of your riding is done on pavement but you think you may want to explore some gravel, these bikes would get the job done. They all have disc brakes and clearance for wider tires. While they won't be great for that super chunky stuff or gnarly B-Roads, they will do just fine on the majority of gravel roads out there.

Specialized Roubaix SL8. Endurance bike, future shock, 40mm clearance. Have fun!

I've been racing a Giant Revolt in regional gravel races for the past two years. The courses are mostly varying grades of gravel with some asphalt. I would strongly advise anyone considering your suggestions to limit the gravel use to well groomed roads or paths with fine sized gravel. The tire limitations will otherwise make it a very regrettable choice.

The Felt VR Endurance bikes are worth a look too- 34mm stated clearance, probably go 35mm easy-different aluminum and carbon builds available at different price points.

I've been riding a jamis nova sport cheap 400 quid bike on England/Welsh hilly B roads 32mm is fine the only trouble is hear range order tire size in all these bikes for none extreme riders need a sub compact

I can’t agree more with the road radar. Its like like having a spare set of eyes in the back of you head. Useless everywhere but road riding though.

Delivery time for Canyon Endurance in Germany is currently August 2024!!! Yes, 2024, not 2023. Unbelievable.

All are very nice bikes. But max out at 35c so I know why gravel bikes are so popular and many at much more affordable pricing.

Leaving the trek Domane make this list questionable. You can put up to a 40mm tire on it (says 38mm on literature but I easily put 40mm no problem)

Instead of Canyon Endurance why not a CUBE Attain Race?
Same bike - (full set tiagra, disk breaks, 9.89kg ) for 400euro's less ( probably around that price in $ too )

I dont really get the definition of endurance in endurance bike. Is it a gravel bike or a relax geometry road bike?

Great video! What about good and fast gravel options that can go on the asphalt with an extra road wheelset?

If a race bike with lotsa spacer below stem is it consider endurance geometry? Example if my SL7 saddle to handlebar drop is 3cm and same as an cervelo Caledonia 5. Would they fit the same?

Specialized (Roubaix) and Trek (Domane) virtually invented this category. They bascally have micro-suspension and 38mm Tyres. Why are they omitted?
I have a Domane SL5 Disc (about 6 years old) and it's smoother, and faster, over poor road surfaces than anything I've ever ridden.
Including Argonaut bikes and discussing starting prices of $10, 000 is idiotic and time-wasting for 99.99% of riders who want to ride on road and an occasional bit of rough lane.
